Tendering and Cost Estimations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tendering and Cost Estimations Manager to lead budgeting, cost planning, and the full tendering cycle for large‑scale development projects. You will work closely with design, project management, and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining quality and design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans from concept through execution.
• Review, validate, and challenge cost estimates from consultants and contractors.
• Prepare independent cost estimates, benchmarking analyses, and feasibility studies.
• Lead the tendering process, including contractor pre‑qualification, bid evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Analyze contractor bids to ensure competitiveness, transparency, and value for money.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities to optimise costs without compromising quality.
• Monitor market trends (materials, labour rates, construction indices) to keep cost benchmarks accurate.
• Review variation orders, claims, and change requests from a commercial perspective.
• Support contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and mitigate financial risk.
• Track and control project costs, highlighting potential deviations proactively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or Construction Management).
• 10–15 years of experience in cost estimation, tendering, and commercial management within real‑estate or construction companies.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale residential, commercial, or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, cost planning, and tendering processes.
