Vice President, Corporate Banking

About the role

Citi is hiring a Vice President, Corporate Banking in Cairo. The role acts as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them raise funds in capital markets and providing advisory services on mergers, acquisitions and other financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. It also serves as an intermediary in client trading.

Key responsibilities

• Expand a portfolio of accounts with varying and complex financial needs, aiming for revenue growth and good credit quality in line with Citi's credit standards, policies and processes.
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions such as financing, cash management streamlining and foreign currency solutions.
• Cross-sell banking products including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, loans (including syndicated and bilateral) and capital market products.
• Own all credit aspects of the relationship, including annual reviews, early problem recognition and remedial management.
• Assess risk appropriately, safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets, complying with laws and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment and escalating, managing and reporting control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree or university degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
• Office setting with minimal travel and minimal physical effort.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of credit analytics and financial modelling.
• Proven expertise in risk assessment and valuation.
