Virtual Medical Assistant – Remote (Call Center)

About the role

Metaplier is seeking a detail‑oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to join its remote team supporting a busy medical clinic. The role involves handling inbound patient calls, managing appointments, and processing clinical orders while delivering professional phone support.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and manage a high‑volume of inbound calls.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Create telephone encounters in eClinicalWorks (ECW).
• Send imaging and laboratory orders accurately and promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service and professional phone etiquette.
• Support daily administrative and patient coordination tasks.

Required profile

• Experience as a Medical Assistant or Virtual Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is required.
• Experience with scheduling, telephone encounters, imaging and lab orders.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑volume call environment and multitask efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent English fluency (call‑center level).
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
