Virtual Medical Assistant – Remote (Fluent English)

About the role

Metaplier is seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant to join its remote team. You will support U.S. healthcare providers by handling high‑volume patient calls, managing appointments, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation—all from a dedicated home workspace.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and manage inbound patient calls professionally.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
• Prepare patient charts and create telephone encounters in eClinicalWorks (ECW).
• Process prior authorizations for medications.
• Send imaging and laboratory orders accurately.
• Monitor incoming faxes and maintain HIPAA‑compliant records.
• Provide outstanding customer service and support daily administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Virtual Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare workflows; experience with eClinicalWorks is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume call environment.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) with a neutral, professional phone voice.
• Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a quiet home office.
