WM Maintenance Leader

About the role

The WM Maintenance Leader is responsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of manufacturing equipment through effective preventive maintenance and team leadership. This role works closely with production, engineering, and external vendors to support continuous improvement and safe operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage preventive maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Coordinate and prioritize work orders, ensuring minimal impact on production schedules.
• Lead, supervise and train maintenance engineers and contractors, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, guaranteeing availability when needed.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, track expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Identify process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency and reduce maintenance demands.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and procedural standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders and equipment history.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on projects and new equipment installations.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure timely, cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and inventory control.
• Ability to analyse equipment failures, diagnose root causes and supervise corrective actions.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements.
