Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end receivables process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper recording of all financial transactions. The role supports month‑end close, audit activities, and collaborates closely with the collection, customer relations, and treasury teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the accounts receivable cycle, including transaction entry and maintenance of the accounting system.
• Handle requests from collection, customer relations, and call‑center teams regarding financial status, downgrades, and consolidations.
• Update receivables by monitoring order processing, bank remittances, and daily deliveries.
• Review and validate all accounting entries, exceptions, interest waivers, and collected amounts before commission payouts.
• Verify signed contracts for accuracy of unit amounts, payment schedules, and signatures.
• Prepare AR analyses for monthly and year‑end closing, and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate ledger maintenance.
• Assist with month‑end close, quarterly reviews, and annual audits.
• Generate reports on late payments, coordinate with collection teams, and prepare legal notices and payment reminders.
• Calculate and record interest for overdue accounts and manage check recall requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
