Audio Visual Supervisor

About the role

The Audio Visual Supervisor ensures all AV equipment for events is ready, functional and properly operated at Marriott International’s Cairo property. The role combines hands‑on technical work with guest interaction and team support.

Key responsibilities

• Verify AV inventory against event requirements.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment, portable and house audio systems.
• Label and repair equipment, secure cables, and ensure safety compliance.
• Compare delivered equipment and room layout with Banquet Event Orders and update flowsheets.
• Break down and store equipment after events.
• Assist guests with equipment usage and promote AV services.
• Monitor equipment performance and follow Marriott Visual Productions SOP.
• Support hiring, training and coaching of AV staff and act as first point of contact for Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Follow company policies, report safety incidents and maintain professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, moving on stairs and using POS systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) experience in audio‑visual setup and event support.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed SOPs.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and internal teams.
• Physical capability to handle equipment, cables and lift up to 50 lb.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness and confidentiality.
