Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will help grow our vendor network by identifying, engaging and onboarding new restaurant and food brand partners. Using market insights and strong communication, you will support sustainable expansion in the competitive food‑delivery market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential restaurants and food brands that match user demand and category growth priorities.
• Support negotiations on commission rates, service level agreements, settlement terms and promotional commitments alongside senior team members.
• Build and maintain a prospect pipeline, ensuring accurate updates and timely progress tracking in CRM tools.
• Share complete partner information (menus, contacts, deal terms) with the onboarding team for a smooth go‑live process.
• Monitor competitor activity, emerging food trends and market players to continuously refresh the acquisition pipeline.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations to support campaigns and drive early traction for newly onboarded partners.
• Track acquisition performance against monthly targets and flag risks or opportunities to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Previous experience in business development, sales or partnerships, preferably in food tech, e‑commerce or FMCG.
• Good knowledge of the food delivery landscape in Egypt is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and goal‑oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
