Chef de Partie – Culinary Team

About the role

The Chef de Partie will join the culinary team at Le Méridien, operating within the bustling environment of Cairo International Airport. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on preparing high‑quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the kitchen during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes, presentation, and quality standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food logs.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and quality concerns.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any incidents or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets.

Required profile

• At least three years of relevant culinary experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site at Cairo International Airport.
