Cloud Solution Architect (VMware)

About the role

The Cloud Solution Architect will design, architect, and enable enterprise‑grade private cloud solutions built on VMware technologies for Mobily. The role supports both pre‑sales engagements and Cloud Center of Excellence initiatives, driving automation, governance, and customer transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document high‑level and low‑level architectures for VMware‑based private and hybrid clouds, including HA, DR, backup, and business continuity.
• Support pre‑sales activities such as RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, solution presentations, and effort estimations.
• Develop reusable architecture templates, automation blueprints, and deployment standards for the Cloud CoE.
• Lead infrastructure automation using Infrastructure‑as‑Code, self‑service portals, and service catalogs.
• Collaborate with OEMs, partners, and internal teams to validate solutions and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Strong background in designing and operating enterprise private cloud platforms.
• Experience with pre‑sales technical support and customer workshops.
• Ability to create documentation, standards, and governance models for cloud implementations.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

• VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX‑T/NSX, vRealize Suite (Aria Operations, Aria Automation, Aria Operations for Logs), VMware Cloud Foundation, Site Recovery Manager, vRealize Orchestrator.
• Aria Automation blueprints, ABX actions, vRO workflows, self‑service portal design, IaaS/PaaS service catalogs.
• VMware Tanzu (TKG, TCE), Kubernetes on vSphere, container networking via NSX.
• Backup and DR tools: Veeam, Commvault, Dell PowerProtect, Rubrik, SRM‑based DR design.
• Hybrid & multi‑cloud platforms: VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, Google Cloud VMware Engine.
• Monitoring and observability: Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs, SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk.
