Offensive Security Senior Engineer – Red Team & Pen Testing

About the role

Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo is seeking an experienced Offensive Security Senior Engineer to strengthen our cyber defence capabilities. You will work with a diverse, highly skilled team to emulate advanced adversaries, test security controls, and improve incident response across client environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead red‑team engagements that simulate nation‑state, ransomware, and insider threat tactics using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and tools like Caldera.
• Design and execute complex attack chains covering initial access, privilege escalation, lateral movement, data exfiltration and persistence.
• Conduct penetration testing of web applications, mobile apps, APIs and network infrastructures, employing scripting, defense‑evasion techniques and code review.
• Assess and report on the effectiveness of detection and response processes, providing actionable remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with security architects, incident responders and client stakeholders to integrate findings into security road‑maps.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in offensive security, red teaming or advanced penetration testing.
• Proven ability to emulate advanced persistent threats and communicate technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for staying current on emerging attack techniques.
