Construction Management Engineer – Mechanical

About the role

The Construction Management Engineer – Mechanical will lead the mechanical construction strategy from tender through project close‑out, ensuring designs are practical, constructible and aligned with process requirements. You will work closely with planning, proposals, PMO, project management and engineering teams to deliver safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective mechanical works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review mechanical construction strategies from tender to close‑out.
• Provide technical construction input to internal departments, ensuring constructibility and schedule feasibility.
• Develop and review construction methodologies, execution plans, schedules and risk assessments.
• Participate in subcontractor sourcing, technical evaluation, negotiation and selection for mechanical works.
• Support mobilization and hiring of mechanical site supervision teams.
• Monitor site execution, resolve technical issues related to high‑pressure pumping systems and piping networks.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality, HSE standards and schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams for constructability, safety, cost control and quality.
• Assist with resource planning, variation management and change control for mechanical activities.
• Capture and share lessons learned across projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in mechanical construction management, preferably in power‑plant projects.
• Experience in technical office roles or site supervision for mechanical works.
• Knowledge of resource estimation and manpower planning is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of mechanical packages, high‑pressure pumps and piping execution workflows.
• Excellent coordination, communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and travel to sites when required.
