Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Minapharm Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer to develop scalable agentic AI and automation solutions for its pharmaceutical operations. The role involves designing end‑to‑end systems that integrate advanced AI frameworks, ensuring performance, compliance and innovation across the company’s drug development and manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust AI and automation solutions tailored to complex pharmaceutical business needs.
• Research, compare and evaluate multiple AI/ML approaches to solve specific scientific and operational problems.
• Design, build and operate agentic AI systems that automate knowledge work and workflows using tools such as OpenAI Agents SDK, n8n AI Agent nodes, and Perplexity APIs.
• Select and apply the appropriate framework (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen/Microsoft Agent Framework) for each use case.
• Integrate agents with internal and external tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and develop MCP servers to securely connect to data sources, SaaS and developer tools.
• Conduct applied research and comparative studies, run literature reviews, benchmark options, present trade‑off analyses and implement the most performant and compliant solution.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or advanced automation development.
• Strong understanding of machine‑learning principles, reinforcement learning and data‑science methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software‑engineering practices.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
