Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director to lead the finance function of a leading education‑focused group. The role will ensure financial stability, regulatory compliance and strategic financial planning across multiple business entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all finance functions, including Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Financial Planning, and Reporting.
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth, profitability, and risk management.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Manage group cash flow, liquidity, funding requirements, and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions when required.
• Support commercial decision‑making through financial analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
• Lead relationships with auditors, tax advisors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial policies across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance.
• Proven experience in a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, MBA, or similar.
• Experience managing multi‑entity or group‑level financial operations.
• Experience in budgeting, treasury management, financial reporting, and strategic planning.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial reporting tools.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial management software.
