Fleet Supervisor & Transportation Planner

About the role

The Fleet Supervisor & Transportation Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising transportation and fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective distribution of finished goods while maintaining high service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation plans that meet customer service requirements while optimizing costs.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation, dispatching and fleet scheduling to maximize utilization.
• Supervise daily fleet operations, driver schedules, shift planning and vacation rotations.
• Monitor fleet movements using tracking systems, maintain real‑time status logs and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to disruptions such as breakdowns, traffic delays or road closures and arrange alternative solutions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management of drivers, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Track fuel consumption and fuel‑card usage, analyze performance and recommend cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to maximize vehicle reliability and minimize downtime.
