General Accounting Manager

About the role

Vitacare is seeking a General Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function in Qesm 1st Nasser City, Egypt. The role oversees day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and manage the general ledger.
• Review and approve journal entries.
• Prepare accurate financial statements on a timely basis.
• Supervise accounting staff and monitor fixed‑asset records.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with finance teams.
• Prepare management reports and support internal and external audits.
• Identify process improvements, implement controls, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA a plus).
• 8–12 years of experience in general accounting.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Mandatory experience in the pharmaceutical, dietary supplements, or cosmetics industry.
• Strong expertise in financial statements preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Solid command of journal entries, reconciliations, and GL management.
• Knowledge of fixed‑assets accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposals).
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills.
• High ethical standards and meticulous attention to detail.
