Generator Commissioning & Factfinding Engineer

About the role

As a Generator Commissioning & Factfinding Engineer you will work on utility‑scale power generation systems, ensuring operational reliability and efficiency. You will join a collaborative team that values technical expertise, safety and quality while supporting regional energy transition and decarbonisation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical tests on stator and rotor components to verify optimal generator performance.
• Utilise robotic inspection tools and rotoscoping equipment for detailed internal evaluations.
• Conduct physical inspections of critical parts such as stator windings and high‑voltage bushings.
• Extract and analyse operational data from Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for diagnostic investigations.
• Compile comprehensive fact‑finding and commissioning reports with technical recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and project managers to ensure timely execution of service projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience in commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical generators.
• Certified Electrical Commissioning Engineer and High‑Voltage Safety & Testing certification.
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostic testing and robotic inspection techniques.
• Strong technical report writing and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to multicultural field environments.
