About the role
The Head of Sales will lead General Motors’ sales operations in Egypt across wholesale, retail, fleet, bus and network development channels. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role is based onsite and is responsible for achieving volume and profitability targets while maintaining Chevrolet’s market leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the sales strategy for all channels, delivering monthly volume and profit goals.
- Protect Chevrolet’s #1 market position through competitive planning, pricing actions and incentive programmes.
- Lead network development with MAC, expanding dealer coverage, improving dealer quality and boosting retail performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with MAC leadership, traders, fleet accounts and government stakeholders.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitive moves and segment trends, translating insights into actionable decisions.
- Manage the inventory pipeline end‑to‑end to avoid overstock or stock‑outs.
- Drive a KPI‑focused culture covering market share, volumes, days’ supply, PDS, NPS and other metrics.
- Develop, motivate and retain a high‑performing sales team, ensuring succession planning and engagement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering (MBA preferred).
- 7–10 years of experience in automotive sales or commercial operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering volume and profit in a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of dealer economics, fleet operations, pricing strategy and inventory management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive‑level influencing abilities.
- Analytical, data‑driven decision‑making style with solid leadership capabilities.
- Fluent in English.
