Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the daily housekeeping operations of an Accor hotel, ensuring rooms and public areas meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role coordinates staff schedules, collaborates with other hotel departments, and acts as the key point of contact for VIP room preparation and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Identify daily task distribution and weekly leaves, taking occupancy, banquets and workload into account.
• Organise operations for floor attendants and housekeeping supervisors.
• Inspect all hotel areas and report findings to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Monitor employee work and ensure complete shift handovers.
• Maintain continuous contact with Front Office, Technical, and Food & Beverage departments.
• Check all VIP rooms for readiness and presentation.
• Ensure sufficient amenities and laundry supplies are available in storage.
• Substitute the Executive Housekeeper during absences and attend or manage required meetings.
• Guarantee friendly guest service and adherence to hotel procedures.
• Provide training to retain and develop housekeeping staff.
• Implement lost‑and‑found procedures and distribute items as needed.
• Plan and organise weekly, monthly and annual detailed cleaning schedules.
• Conduct daily internal communication meetings with the team.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Monitor equipment usage and deliver necessary trainings.
• Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hotel environment.
• Strong organisational and scheduling abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with multiple hotel departments.
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a diverse team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
