HV Sleipner Operator

About the role

The HV Sleipner Operator is responsible for safely moving heavy tracked vehicles across the Sukari gold mine site using the Sleipner DB130 transport system. The role supports production and maintenance plans while ensuring strict compliance with safety and blasting schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Sleipner DB130 transport system to relocate heavy machinery throughout the site.
• Drive tracked dozers and small excavators in the ancillary fleet, especially before and after blasting windows.
• Execute equipment moves in line with daily/weekly maintenance and blasting plans.
• Perform daily pre‑start inspections and complete movement logs for every relocation.
• Report any equipment faults or safety concerns immediately to maintenance or supervisors.
• Coordinate with the mining operations team to clear tracked equipment from blast zones.

Required profile

• Ability to follow strict safety standards and site procedures.
• Willingness to work on a 20/10 roster and adhere to the mining team’s schedule.
• Readiness to receive direction from the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.
