Planning Section Head – Construction Projects

About the role

The Planning Section Head will lead planning and scheduling activities for complex construction projects at Atrium Quality Contractors in Cairo. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures project schedules are accurate, up‑to‑date, and aligned with contractual commitments and resource constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor progress, analyse variances, and prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, finance and site teams to align schedule updates with scope, cost and resource changes.
• Support risk assessments, identify schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor and supervise planning staff, standardise planning procedures and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Significant experience in a senior planning or planning‑leadership role within a major contractor or project‑management firm.
• Strong knowledge of construction project management principles, including scope, cost, time, resources and risk.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
