Procurement Engineer

About the role

Roaya Group for Electrical Contracting and Supplies is looking for a goal‑oriented Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing of electrical components and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality supplies. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers, the quality control team, and internal stakeholders to keep production on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and vet local suppliers for transformers, RMU, LV panels, cables, UPS, generators, ATS, PFC, MVSG, and related components.
• Prepare RFQs, analyse technical bids, and select value‑for‑money offers.
• Audit supplier facilities and monitor performance against quality and delivery standards.
• Implement cost‑reduction strategies without compromising electrical supply integrity.
• Negotiate terms, lead times, and payment schedules with vendors.
• Coordinate with the QC team to verify that received materials match engineering data sheets.
• Monitor critical raw‑material stock levels to avoid production delays.
• Track market price trends for raw materials affecting manufacturing costs.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of solid procurement experience, preferably in electrical or industrial sectors.
• Strong negotiation abilities, analytical thinking, and high attention to detail.
