Procurement Expert – Supplier & Inventory Management

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Procurement Expert to manage supplier master data, support integration initiatives and ensure optimal inventory levels for its automotive wiring systems production. The role combines strategic sourcing, material planning and close collaboration with suppliers to drive efficiency and reliability in the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate supplier and article master data and support localization, consignment and logistics agreements.
• Monitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) results, process supplier orders, track deliveries and flag shortage risks.
• Ensure optimal raw‑material stock levels, proactively reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate ordering and timely delivery of new components for technical changes.
• Develop regular contact with suppliers, conduct performance reviews and strengthen business relationships.
• Support stock‑take and cycle‑count activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Identify and escalate supply‑chain risks and propose continuous‑improvement actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English with strong professional communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (complex formulas, data analysis, tracking tools).
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) logic and inventory control.
