Production Maintenance Section Head

About the role

You will lead the maintenance team responsible for keeping production equipment reliable, safe and available at our Cairo manufacturing facility. The role combines hands‑on technical oversight with coaching, planning and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver safe, reliable and GMP‑compliant operations for assigned production lines and utilities.
• Plan, schedule and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance using the CMMS.
• Prepare spare‑parts lists (local and foreign) and manage inventory for all machines.
• Analyse equipment performance and breakdown data to identify root causes and drive reliability improvements.
• Oversee installation, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and execute IQ/OQ for new equipment.
• Implement machinery safety programs and apply process‑safety requirements.
• Promote Lean culture on the shop floor (Gemba, Standard Work, 5S, RCA, tiered accountability).
• Develop and update SOPs, URS and validation documentation in line with GSK quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards and EHS requirements.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English communication skills.
