Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Receiving Clerk ensures that all goods arriving at the hotel are accurately recorded, verified against purchase orders, and efficiently transferred to the appropriate storage or department. This position supports the hotel's operational flow by maintaining precise inventory records and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that every delivery is supported by a valid hotel purchase order.
• Inspect the quality and quantity of received goods in coordination with relevant departments before acceptance.
• Promptly move accepted goods to the store or designated department.
• Document and account for outgoing goods accurately.
• Monitor pending or partial deliveries together with the Purchaser.
• Prepare and distribute required reports such as signed receiving records and receiving reports.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Log system problems, suggest improvements, and ensure a concise hand‑over of duties.
• Follow Accor brand standards, departmental procedures, and policy manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
