Senior Electrical Construction Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Construction Engineer with deep expertise in underground high‑voltage cable projects to lead site execution in Egypt. You will manage all phases of HV/EHV cable installation, from trenching to testing, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site execution of underground cable projects, including HV/EHV cable laying, trench excavation, backfilling, duct bank installation, and joint bays.
• Supervise subcontractors and field crews to meet project specifications, approved shop drawings, and Egyptian utility standards (EEHC, EETC).
• Coordinate cable jointing, termination, and high‑voltage testing such as HV testing, sheath testing, and OTDR/fiber‑optic testing.
• Manage Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) with clients and consultants.
• Resolve technical clashes and interface issues with civil and structural teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in electrical construction, focusing on HV/EHV underground cable projects.
• Proven track record in cable routing, laying execution, jointing supervision, and pre‑commissioning testing.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and Egyptian utility regulations (EETC/EEHC).
• Strong leadership, project coordination, and site management abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
