Senior Escalators & Elevators Engineer

About the role

The Senior Escalators & Elevators Engineer will oversee maintenance activities and SOPs for escalators and elevators on Cairo Metro Line 3, ensuring safety, reliability and optimal performance while supporting related facility and capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and technicians for escalator and elevator maintenance.
• Lead routine inspections, advanced diagnostics and performance monitoring using predictive maintenance tools.
• Supervise the maintenance team, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies in Maximo, manage spare‑parts inventory and track KPIs such as MTTR and MTBF.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5‑7 years of experience in escalator and elevator maintenance or related project management.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage change and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software, particularly Maximo.
• Predictive and preventive maintenance techniques for escalators and elevators.
• System simulations and performance monitoring.
• Technical documentation and asset overhauling planning.
