Senior Structure Design Engineer II

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Structure Design Engineer II to lead medium to complex customer projects from concept through delivery. The role combines technical expertise in steel structures with project management to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end project orders, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.
• Confirm customer requirements, review drawings and specifications, and align bill of materials.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of steel structures.
• Perform structural calculations using STAAD Pro and/or SAP2000.
• Create 2D/3D BIM models with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and calculations.
• Support project lifecycle from tender design to commissioning, including vendor submittal review and on‑site technical assistance.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of steel structure engineering processes and methodologies.
• Experience with digital design tools and BIM concepts.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Strong communication and decision‑making skills.
