Site Planning Section Head

About the role

The Site Planning Section Head leads the planning function, providing time‑management expertise to support tendering and construction activities. This role ensures robust schedules, monitors project timelines, and coordinates data sharing across departments to achieve project control objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver time schedules for tender submissions in collaboration with the Tendering department.
• Manage extensions of time claims and project close‑out coordination between relevant departments and Contracts.
• Share monthly progress status, identify concerns, and drive corrective actions with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead external project planning activities and supervise planning staff.
• Standardise Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity coding with Cost Control for seamless integration.
• Support the preparation and quarterly updates of the Annual Operating Plan, including billing revenue forecasts.
• Present portfolio progress dashboards to senior planning managers and project managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (Master’s or certifications such as PMP, Primavera P6, AACE are a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning, controls or construction management.
• Proven track record in tendering, project scheduling and progress reporting.
• Strong coordination abilities across multiple internal departments.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
