Software Engineer – SDN/NFV

About the role
Orange Business is looking for a Software Engineer to join the SDN/NFV domain team. You will work closely with Solution Architects and developers to design, build, test, and deliver network‑centric software solutions for global customers.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse customer requirements and define a suitable software architecture.
- Develop the solution using identified frameworks and perform code quality analysis.
- Integrate open‑source and commercial components, and contribute back to the community.
- Participate in regular progress review meetings with customers.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to build, test, and support the solution in production environments.
- Produce technical documentation and user manuals for deployment and maintenance.
Required profile
- BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Communication Engineering.
- 3‑6 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns and micro‑services architecture.
- Experience with XML, JSON, YAML, RESTful APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, gRPC and Protobuf.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python or Go.
- Hands‑on experience with Git, Gerrit, Maven, Make, GitLab and relational/NoSQL databases (SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis).
- Linux OS expertise and shell scripting skills.
- Passion for clean code, unit testing, automation and continuous delivery.
