Technical Office Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Technical Office Electrical Engineer will support the delivery of construction projects by preparing, reviewing, and coordinating all electrical documentation. This includes shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as‑built records, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications, IFC drawings, and BOQs to produce accurate technical submissions.
• Develop and coordinate electrical shop drawings for lighting, power, low‑current, earthing, and related systems.
• Prepare material submittals and verify compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to obtain approvals and resolve technical issues.
• Update method statements, technical reports, and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure system integration.
• Provide technical support to site teams and respond to RFIs.
• Monitor documentation flow, track approvals, and use document‑control systems.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and assist in the approval process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience in a technical office within the electrical or MEP contracting sector.
• Strong knowledge of LV, MV, lighting, power distribution, and ELV/low‑current systems.
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC) and local regulations.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication abilities.
