Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and expand our customer base in the freight forwarding sector. You will identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships and develop strategic partnerships that support our global logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients in the freight forwarding industry.
• Generate leads and build a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing tailored solutions.
• Conduct market research and analysis to spot trends, competitive insights and growth opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and quotations.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and conferences to expand networks and promote services.
• Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with legal and finance teams on terms.
• Work closely with operations, customer service and finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor sales metrics, provide market feedback and suggest improvements.
