General Accountant – Fashion Industry

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned General Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting activities for our fashion business, covering retail stores, e‑commerce platforms and marketplace sales.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger records and execute monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Prepare financial statements including income statement, balance sheet and cash‑flow statement.
• Reconcile daily/weekly sales from stores, Shopify and marketplaces, as well as courier COD collections.
• Manage inventory accounting across warehouses, stores and production, calculate COGS and support SKU‑level margin analysis.
• Record supplier invoices, production costs and monitor marketing, shipping and logistics expenses.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and payroll taxes in compliance with Egyptian regulations.
• Produce monthly management reports and provide financial insights for pricing and campaign profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5–8 years of experience in retail, e‑commerce or manufacturing accounting.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for large‑data reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Shopify.
• Strong financial and cost accounting knowledge.
