Head of Finance – Finance Section Lead

About the role

The Finance Section Head will lead the day‑to‑day accounting, treasury and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate records, compliance with standards and timely information for management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting, treasury and reporting operations of the finance section.
• Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards and company policy.
• Monitor cash flow, banking relationships and working capital to maintain liquidity.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports prepared by the team.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities and banks to meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Develop, mentor and continuously improve the finance team.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in steel fabrication or manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (CMA, ACCA or CPA) is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems – SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
