Junior Accountant

About the role

Fugro SAE is looking for a Junior Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team in Cairo, Egypt. This is a full-time position working Sunday to Thursday, for someone who is detail-oriented, organized and interested in accuracy, compliance and good relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and on time, verify their details and supporting documents before posting, and match them with purchase orders and receiving documents where applicable.
• Process employee expense claims in line with company policies.
• Ensure transactions are coded correctly and recorded in the accounting system.
• Respond to supplier inquiries about invoices, payments and account balances, and help resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Assist with supplier statement reconciliations, accounts payable balance reviews and month-end accounts payable closing.
• Support audit requests, documentation preparation and continuous process improvement, while following QHSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, with Excel.
• Team player with good time management and interpersonal skills.
