Mechanical Engineer – Power Systems (Cairo)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will develop and test mechanical systems and components, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable product performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and test mechanical systems and components.
• Analyze mechanical systems to meet performance and efficiency targets for energy production and distribution.
• Work closely with electrical engineers to integrate mechanical power systems with electrical systems.
• Evaluate final product performance, reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide engineering solutions in manufacturing or production environments.
• Support production and assembly teams by providing technical assistance and ensuring smooth operations.

Required profile

• Proven working experience in mechanical power engineering.
• BSc degree in Engineering.
• Solid understanding of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
• Creativity, analytical skills and ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly.
• Technical writing skills.

Required skills

• ANSYS (or similar engineering analysis tools).
• ProMechanica (or similar).
• Matlab.
• Excel.
• LabView.
