Senior GL Accountant

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is hiring a Senior GL Accountant in 6 October City. The role covers general ledger work and the accounting department's activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash control, and requires strong financial reporting and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the GL work and accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash control.
• Ensure proper budget control and coordinate with other departments so costs are tracked monthly on an accrual basis.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports.
• Make sure financial data is reliable and ready to go live on time, and support the finance team in solving ERP issues.
• Prepare operating guidelines and organise company management standards.
• Follow up the annual accounting audit report and transfer pricing report, complete the HFM system report and ensure audit compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with accepted financial accounting standards and legal requirements by setting and monitoring internal and external financial controls.
• Review and redesign finance processes, identify ways to improve financial performance and implement best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, major in finance or accounting, with more than 8 years of working experience.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS; IFRS certificate and experience in an international accounting firm preferred.
• Good office skills and English communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability, ability to work under pressure, proactive problem-solving and independent decision-making.
• Teamwork experience and team management skills.
• Meticulous, responsible, with strong executive ability.
• Age up to 35 years; males only.
