Senior Manager – Ethics & Compliance

About the role

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Ethics & Compliance program in Iraq. The role serves as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies, business units, and support functions, ensuring that all activities meet internal policies and local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for AML, ATF, and sanctions matters with regulators, working closely with Legal and Government Relations.
• Collaborate with Visa’s Financial Intelligence Analytics Center on enhanced due‑diligence reviews and client requests.
• Assess risk, design controls, and oversee compliance for business strategies, transactions, and products at regional and country levels.
• Manage regulatory reporting for the Iraq sub‑region and ensure timely submission to authorities.
• Promote the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through training, office visits, and business education.
• Support Business Conduct investigations and respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce comprehensive compliance dashboards, metrics, and reporting.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies while maintaining robust controls.
• Execute anti‑bribery, AML, ATF, and sanctions due‑diligence, including third‑party assessments and client workshops.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in compliance, AML, sanctions, and regulatory reporting, preferably within the payments or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of Iraqi regulatory requirements and international compliance standards.
• Proven ability to interact with regulators, senior business leaders, and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, risk‑assessment, and communication skills.
