Computational Design Engineer – Electrical & Telecom

About the role

Dar, a member of the Sidara group, is seeking a Computational Design Engineer to create and maintain automation tools for Electrical and Telecom systems within BIM environments. The role focuses on developing Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Revit API solutions that streamline design, data extraction, and model coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Python scripts as well as Revit add‑ins for automation of Electrical (Power, Lighting, Earthing) and Telecom (ICT, ELV, Security) systems.
• Create parametric models and families for Revit, ensuring compliance with BIM standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to embed computational workflows into the BIM process.
• Automate data extraction, validation, and coordination tasks across models.
• Document computational tools and support quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, or a related MEP field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Dynamo/Grasshopper for Revit automation.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a solid understanding of Electrical or Telecom system design within BIM.
