HSE Advisor

About the role

The HSE Advisor will ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, client requirements and company standards on‑site, supporting a Zero Harm culture for employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Support and monitor the implementation of the O&M Site HSE Plan in line with Siemens Gamesa standards and client requirements.
• Ensure daily O&M activities (preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting) comply with legal, contractual and internal HSE requirements.
• Promote safe behaviours and intervene proactively to correct unsafe acts or conditions.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, safety walks and compliance audits according to the HSE Inspection Plan.
• Review and validate Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for specific tasks.
• Apply and monitor the Zero Harm Framework, Life‑Saving Rules and critical safety controls.
• Manage the Permit to Work system, including electrical isolation/LOTO, work at height, confined spaces and lifting operations.

Required profile

• Degree or technical qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent (highly preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Proven experience in operation & maintenance of wind farms or similar industrial assets.
• Familiarity with OEM standards or strict client HSE requirements.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations applicable in Egypt and solid understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• GWO BST training and knowledge of wind turbine technologies and O&M workflows are a strong advantage.
