IT Operation Security Specialist

About the role

The IT Operation Security Specialist monitors, analyses, and maintains the organisation's security infrastructure. You will protect systems, networks and data from cyber threats while supporting incident response, vulnerability management and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, alerts and events to detect and respond to threats.
• Manage and maintain SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS and email security tools.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and produce incident reports.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
• Support identity and access management processes and ensure secure operation of IT infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security policies, standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to improve security posture and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT security operations or cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of network security, system administration and cybersecurity principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Controls frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and incident‑handling abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
