IT Specialist

About the role

The IT Specialist will support Marriott Mena House Cairo by installing, configuring, and maintaining the hotel's computer networks, workstations, and server systems. The role includes providing end‑user assistance, ensuring network security, and managing hardware and software assets.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, evaluate and repair computer networks, workstations and server systems.
• Manage user accounts, telephone rooms and related hardware/software.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot LAN/WAN and internet issues, and respond to program error messages.
• Coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes and system enhancements.
• Implement network security measures and maintain backup procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all technological devices and manage disk space across the network.
• Deliver end‑user training on proper system use and security.
• Follow company policies, ensure confidentiality and support the Guarantee of Fair Treatment process.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant IT experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and work in a hotel environment.
