Procure to Pay Lead

About the role

The Procure to Pay Lead will oversee the end‑to‑end procure‑to‑pay cycle for an oil & gas services organization, ensuring that sourcing, purchasing, invoicing and payments are performed efficiently, cost‑effectively and in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Procure to Pay Officers, set goals, allocate workload and monitor performance.
• Manage the full P2P process, guaranteeing compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and best practices to reduce cycle times and increase savings.
• Track and report KPIs such as on‑time delivery, cost savings and process efficiency.
• Support strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations and ongoing supplier performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Logistics and other functions to align procurement activities with business needs and resolve escalated issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and drive data‑quality initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements and corporate governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive procurement or supply‑chain experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within oil & gas or a similar industry.
• Proven ability to manage teams and complex procurement processes.
• Relevant certifications such as CISCP or CSCP are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
