Senior DevOps Engineer – Part Time

About the role

Implicit is building next‑generation AI summarization platforms and needs a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Cairo team on a part‑time basis. You will work closely with data science and product teams to design, implement, and operate highly available cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure (EKS, RDS Aurora, etc.).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Own data stores, handling capacity planning, monitoring, scaling, and backup/restore.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git‑based workflows, CircleCI).
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Automate security best practices and support SOC 2 Type II compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system design and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles.
• Strong background with AWS services and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Linux, shell scripting, Python, and Bash.
• Experience delivering reliable, cost‑efficient cloud solutions.
