Senior Logistics Executive

About the role

The Senior Logistics Executive will lead the end‑to‑end import and export operations for Raya Electric, ensuring timely and cost‑effective movement of goods from international suppliers to the company’s facilities in Egypt. This role combines coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams to guarantee compliance with trade regulations and company deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full import/export logistics cycle, including transportation booking, shipment tracking and delivery coordination.
• Prepare and verify all import documentation (packing lists, commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin) to meet international trade and Egyptian customs requirements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers to resolve delays and secure timely shipments.
• Monitor shipment schedules, provide pre‑alerts, and ensure alignment with inventory needs and company deadlines.
• Validate freight forwarder and clearing agent costs against approved rates and oversee invoice verification and timely payments.
• Track import‑related costs (freight, duties, customs fees) and report cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on shipment status, costs and overall import performance for management.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and international trade documentation.
• Advanced negotiation abilities and an extensive supplier network.
• Familiarity with Raya’s Business Code of Conduct, mission, vision, strategy and corporate values.
• Experience monitoring contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) in a logistics environment.
