Tax Professional – Africa (French Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for a French‑speaking Tax Professional to join our team in Cairo and support the African Tax Lead in managing the end‑to‑end tax landscape across the continent. The role combines compliance, reporting and advisory responsibilities to ensure our operations meet local tax regulations and corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, file and submit corporate income tax, VAT/GST and withholding tax returns in accordance with local laws.
• Produce tax‑related financial reports, provisions, reconciliations and disclosures aligned with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on transactions, investments and operational structures.
• Coordinate with the African Tax Lead, external auditors, tax authorities and consultants on audits, queries and disputes.
• Monitor changes in African tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce tax risk.
• Maintain accurate tax records and ensure statutory retention requirements are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Law or a related field; tax certifications are a plus.
• 4‑5 years of post‑qualification tax experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of tax regulations in key African markets.
• Experience with corporate tax, VAT/GST and withholding tax compliance.
• Understanding of international tax principles, transfer pricing and cross‑border transactions.
• Familiarity with tax software and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP reporting standards.
