General Ledger Supervisor

About the role

The General Ledger Supervisor will lead the accounting function for all Egypt entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS 16 lease accounting, and timely month‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting and related reporting.
• Prepare monthly accruals, provisions, and prepaid expense schedules.
• Perform intercompany and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, including depreciation and disposals.
• Oversee CAPEX, AUC, and CWIP accounting activities.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and support monthly BSR reviews.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding items.
• Execute month‑end general‑ledger closing activities.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial controls.
• Provide accounting support across all Egypt entities and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Student (part‑time or full‑time) of a recognized professional institute such as CFA, ICWA, CMA, etc.
• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience.
