Webmethods Developer

About the role

As a Webmethods Developer you will partner with banking clients to design, build and deliver integration solutions using IBM’s webMethods portfolio. You will act as the main technical advisor, ensuring deployments are reliable, secure and aligned with IBM best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver solutions with webMethods Integration Server, API Management, Universal Messaging, Command Central, Terracotta and webMethods.io/iPaaS.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, providing guidance on integration architecture, API strategy and middleware best practices.
• Collaborate with IBM Support teams to resolve client issues quickly and minimise downtime.
• Manage project implementation, monitor progress, report status to stakeholders and identify risks with mitigation plans.
• Configure clustering, load‑balancing and high‑availability for runtime components and optimise middleware flows.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred) in a related field.
• Minimum four years of experience working with banking clients.
• Five or more years of hands‑on delivery experience with webMethods products.
• Strong knowledge of webMethods flow language, Java and graphical data‑mapping tools.

• webMethods Integration Server, API Management, Universal Messaging, My webMethods Server, Command Central, Terracotta, webMethods.io/iPaaS.
• REST and SOAP API design, publishing and security using API Gateway and Developer Portal.
• Integration protocols and data formats: REST, SOAP, XML, JSON.
• Messaging systems: JMS, Universal Messaging, IBM MQ.
• Databases: Oracle, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, JDBC adapters.
• Clustering, load‑balancing and high‑availability configuration.
• CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker.
