Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role
The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end processing of journal entries, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support period‑end closing activities. This role works closely with business units and the finance team to maintain compliance with internal KPIs and statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and verify original documents from SBU and other units for journal entry preparation.
- Ensure supporting documents are accurate and create journal entries in Oracle ERP.
- Park entries, obtain approvals, and post journal entries within defined TAT and SLA.
- Perform period‑end closing tasks, including extracting data, reconciling inter‑company balances, and preparing debit/credit adjustments.
- Correct errors in Oracle ERP based on approved documentation.
- Extract trial balances, balance sheets, and P&L statements for each entity and secure approvals.
- Provide timely management reporting and analysis as requested.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and related reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- 2‑4 years of relevant accounts payable or finance experience.
- Student or qualified member of a professional institute (e.g., CFA, ICWA, CMA).
Required skills
- Proficiency with Oracle ERP for journal entry processing and period‑end closures.
