Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

Sofitel Cairo Downtown, a new luxury hotel in the heart of Cairo, is looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeper. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the role leads and assists in the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department and ensures service standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly and engaging service and lead the department in daily operations while ensuring service standards are followed.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly.
• Identify training needs and train supervisors and colleagues as required.
• Work closely with the Maintenance department on guest room repairs and follow proper communication channels.
• Address guest concerns promptly, log them and notify the right departments.
• Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs, follow departmental policies and report maintenance items.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and assist with other duties when team members are absent.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience required.
• University or college degree in a related discipline is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, and a highly responsible and reliable attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to stay calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs.

Required skills

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications is an asset.
